Meet-a-Tator (But not on Tuesday): Heather

Fave books/authors/genre: A few of my favorite books include: The Master and the Margarita, No Exit , The Stranger, How Soccer Explains the World, Bird by Bird, And Then There Were None.

While I’ll read anything, I’ve always loved fiction -- and I have a special place in my heart for murder mysteries. There’s something about reading a suspenseful book under the covers late at night and tentatively turning the pages while your heart races that I’m a bit addicted to.

Tell us about yourself:  I’m a bibliophile at heart. I started reading before I began school and haven’t stopped. I studied Politics and Latin American and Latino Studies in college -- two things I’m very passionate about. I love to cook and spend time with my family; I’m married and we have a rambunctious Boston Terrier named Bodie. I’m also deeply dedicated to making a positive change in the world, which is why I applied to law school.

A few things you may not know? I love weird, non-superhero comic books (e.g. Chew, JTHM), punk music, and professional wrestling.

Meet-a-Tator Tuesday: Karena

We've come to an end with our Meet-a-Tator Tuesdays series. We'll round out our series with Karena, the second part of our Booktator equation (even though she really hates math). Meet-a-Tator Tuesday: Jeane

We have come to the last two weeks of our Meet-a-Tator series.. When she isn't fighting schoolwork in the battle for her Master's degree and juggling her family's active lifestyle, Jeane is the first half of your Booktator team and a third of your podcasting hosts as well as the co-founder of CWAtC.

Fave books/authors/genre: My favorite books include the Wheel of Time series, and Pride and Prejudice, but mostly any kick ass female protagonist book is awesome! Favorite Authors include Robert Jordan (r.i.p.), Brandon Sanderson, Barbara Kingsolver, and Christopher Moore.

Tell us about yourself: I am a total geek, I LOVE all things geeky like comic books, sci-fi & fantasy shows/movies/books, anime, and all the other geeky types of things. I am also a literature nerd! My biggest passion in life is books. I just received my BA in literature and my plan is to get my Masters in Library Sciences and become a librarian.

I love to read books with lots of action in them! But also funny books (but not gross) and science fiction and fantasy. But I will read anything and I am always willing to give something new a chance.

Good fiction creates empathy. A novel takes you somewhere and asks you to look through the eyes of another person, to live another life.

Meet-a-Tator Tuesday: Jared

Part two of our Meet-a-Tator Tuesday. Last week we met Laura, our Gametator and this week we'll meet our newest host, Techtator and resident token guy. Jared is in charge of all things technical (hence the name), from making sure the sites look good to setting up the podcast for posting to making sure the rest of the Tators know how to load things onto the Google Drive.

Meet-a-Tator Tuesday: Laura

Who are we? Easily the coolest people around. For the next five weeks we'll do Meet-a-Tator Tuesday where we'll share each Tator's story.

This week we introduce you to Laura, who was the most recent to join the team. As Gametator, Laura is our go-to gal for fun and games literary style. She adds a little more fun to our reading!
