Book Association: Life of Pi - Part 4

It is our last week of February with Life of Pi as our book selection. We've talked about books set in India last week. Next month will be The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes with the dealer's choice on which of the stories you want to read.

On our last week we're choosing Booker Prize Winners as Life of Pi also won which led to its success.




The Blind AssassinThe Blind Assassin -From the author of The Handmaid's Tale, this story is about two sisters and the secrets that surround them.










The Remains of the DayThe Remains of the Day  - The story of a butler and his five day trip through England in the 1950's. 









Schindler's List

Schindler's List - Later to become an Oscar winning film, the story of Oskar Schindler who became a savior to the Jews in Poland during the horrors of the Holocaust.







The English PatientThe English Patient - Also later to become an Oscar winning film, Michael Ondaatje tells the story of four damaged individuals in a war torn Italian villa at the end of World War II. 











DisgraceDisgrace - Set in post-apartheid South Africa, Disgrace follows the fall of David Lurie, who sets in motion a chain of events when he seduces one of his students that changes his staid life.
